This fall, your website host Meghan Jenkins started to appear as a panelist on comedy shows and as a guest on online talk shows as well as host her own weekly improv show that it was only a matter of time that her sidekick Panda would decide that Meghan needs some help to meet this ever-growing list of obligations.
Ms. Jenkins herself has expressed nothing but gratitude at the many opportunities to bring her perspective to online audiences and participate in impromptu improv, but Panda insisted to this reporter that Meghan “looks like she needs help, doesn’t she, Mark?” She ended the call before a reply was offered.
And so, on October 21, Panda made her debut as a guest on an online talk show, Hangin’in the Hammock hosted by actor, singer, and stand-up comedian Ethan Herschenfeld.
Mr. Herschenfeld hosts the noontime talk show from the furniture in his backyard, which gives the show its name, but he was on the road at the time in Atlanta shooting an upcoming film with Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot. He had invited Meghan, with whom he had served as a fellow judge on the UG! Zoom House Party, a stand-up showcase/competition. (Full disclosure: your reporter has twice served as a judge on the show.)
When Panda saw Meghan’s note about the invitation from Mr. Herschenfeld, she leaped into action and ate the slip of paper on which Meghan had written the date and time. “That’s how pandas memorize things,” she explained after the fact.
Expecting Meghan Jenkins, Ethan landed an exclusive with Meghan’s BPF instead:
