You are here to change the world in some amazing way!

* * * *
A lot of people are stuck in situations that are unfair. Home life might be in complete shambles, maybe you are unlucky in love and/or finances, perhaps you have a sister you wish you got along with but don’t … death, disease, poverty are literally everywhere you look. I know that I have felt helpless and hopeless. I know that feeling well. Desperate, lonely, misunderstood and wondering “why am I here?” and “what is the point?”

When I was a kid I saw a Shirley Temple movie called The Blue Bird. There is a whole scene and theme about souls picking their families, and their lives before they are born. That resonates with me and did so immediately when I first saw the movie. Now, I don’t know if you need to believe in Heaven and God for this to resonate with you as well, but I do know that I did believe in God, and then for a long time I didn’t at all. (I do again now, but that’s another story.) I always, no matter what, remembered that Shirley Temple movie and the idea its image gave me that there is a point to this all, and I just kept going. I did things that “felt right” at the time, sometimes without even understanding while I was doing them why I was doing these things. I just kept going.

Just keep going. I find myself now often saying, “Thank you, Past Meghan,” out loud. (A few people reading this may have seen me say this in person a few times.)

Keep your loose ends tied. Do things that make you feel good in your soul. You ARE here for a reason. I don’t know what it is. You don’t even have to. None of us have to know. We probably aren’t supposed to know why or what. We just have to realize that we ARE here because maybe, just maybe, before we were all born, we made some kind of pact. We have to do our best to honor it.

If you are mad at your parents, maybe you were brought here to help THEM, rather than them helping you. Maybe your soul is a powerhouse warrior, and you are here to change the world in some amazing way. I promise you, you can never tell who is going to do something great. Treat every living being with dignity and respect. Treat YOURSELF with dignity and respect. Do you even know who you are? You are a big deal. Love you, love your potential, love your soul and honor your path in this life.

Xoxo,
Meghan Jenkins
