By Panda

[Editor’s Note: In an online chat between Panda, Meghan, and Mark, the topic of musicians came up and the name of Niccolò Paganini (October 1782 – 27 May 1840), seen at top, came up, which led to this first entry in what may or may not be a series: “Panda’s Poetry Parade.”—Mark]

* * * *
This pic of Paganini.
It hangs beside my bed.
And every night I close the door like Paganini says.

Paganini tells me stories,
And sings me songs to sleep.
Paganini holds me tightly if I ever start to weep.

Paganini has a dollhouse,
He says that I can play.
But when I try, Paganini sighs and says, “Oh not today.”

Paganini is a nightmare,
And yet we still are friends.
‘Cause he’s in my room,
Your car goes “Vroom,”
And that’s how this poem ends.
