Our own Meghan Jenkins was nominated for Jetset Magazine’s annual cover model competition for 2022, and readers of this website are invited to vote for her each day.
Meghan is a writer, comedian, performer, podcaster, Instagram influencer, music composer and producer, painter, and set designer. She is also a self-starter who continues to assemble a team of writers and performers—including me—for a variety of projects through the use of every social media platform available.
It is a beauty contest, of course—and Meghan is beautiful—and it is a popularity contest, thus votes from her fans are needed, and Meghan’s insistence that her vivacious and fun personality be a part of what she offers in the handful of photos that Jetset includes in her profile makes a vote for her all the more appealing. Three of the photos are at top. She will not compromise to compete.
Jetset Magazine, “the premier affluent lifestyle print and online resource,” has grown in popularity and prestige in the fourteen-plus years since its founding. A lively compendium of all the best in life from real estate to high-end lifestyle products, the publication is not merely a glossy monthly display of luxury for luxury’s sake, it boasts articles about prudent philanthropy and contributors such as Robert Kiyosaki, the highly regarded author of Rich Dad Poor Dad, and Dr. John Demartini.
Jetset Magazine’s annual cover model competition is one that the publication uses to bring attention to women who are on the cusp of being discovered by the greater public, like the current title-holder. That phrase also describes Meghan Jenkins: on the cusp of discovery.
The winner will be awarded $50,000, the opportunity to appear on a future cover of Jetset Magazine, and attend high-profile events.
Voting started on Monday, January 3, and fans of Meghan can vote once each day for free, can double their votes if they opt-in to receive email updates about Meghan’s progress in the competition, and can buy votes with donations to the Andrew McDonough B+ (Be Positive) Foundation ($1 = one vote).
“I’m honored to have been asked to compete,” Meghan writes.
Meghan’s love of art has led to a personal exploration of many forms, forums, and formats for self-expression. Her paintings have been shown in galleries, her personality and approach to comedy won her spots on several podcasts and comedy panels, her beauty and style have attracted notice from prestigious publications, and her music recently won praise from producers and airplay on FM radio.
I often point out that there is a show business truism that one could build a brick wall on a stage and a charismatic performer will attract an audience even from behind that wall. Brick wall, meet charismatic performer. There is an audience out there that does not know it is about to discover the multi-talented Meghan Jenkins. With your votes, Jetset Magazine may help her knock down that wall.
